As a breeder, I have always researched and studied pedigrees.  It is important to know where you are coming from, so that you have a good idea of where you are going.  It's no secret, I prefer the american lines, primarilary those that have evolved from the Cox lines.  All my furkids are related thru the Cox prefix, and I am gradually combining close knit families with an occasional outcross.  The outcrosses I use I want to have Cox background.  I have tried some euro blends, and while the dogs I've used where beautiful, they really didn't give me the look I was after.
So, a few years ago I decided to phase away from the euro lines and stay in the ambred lines.  Here is a little girl that is very american.  Soft, rounded, beautiful expression.  She does have a bit of mischief in her, and she makes me laugh, but she is what I like.  I have to thank Pat and Sherry Kurth who owns Gch Ch C & D Why Knott The Teddy Bear  or "Bubs" as his owners like to call him, for letting me use their gorgeous boy.
